We are pleased to announce that Mouse River Players (MRP), Minot's
oldest community theater, has found a home we can call our own!
In late April 2004, the MRP Board of Directors closed on the purchase
of a city landmark, the Minot Labor Temple. It is the Board's hope that
this purchase will contribute to the continued longevity of MRP and
give us a recognizable, permanent home that will enhance the growing
fine arts community in the downtown area.
This building will provide office space, rehearsal space, storage space
and, most importantly, a permanent stage. We now have more than 1,000
square feet to plan and execute a stage and house that will accommodate
our growing audiences. Various agencies have been very generous to us
in the past in providing performance space, but now we are planning our
own home and looking forward to having you visit us there.
MRP hopes to expand its season, not only with our own productions, but
also with performance space for local and regional performers. We know
that we have a lot of work to do to get ready for our 2004-2005 season,
and we are already planning to repair the building's roof and main
floor restrooms and erect a stage on the east side of the existing
auditorium.
This is why we are turning to you. We are asking for your financial
assistance in any amount that you can afford. Even if you only have $5
to give, this is the year to do it! We must raise monies for our goal
of basic, but essential, remodeling. Please help us attain that goal.

Mouse River Players Community Theatre Center are responsible for those
